Legal At Last!

Today is a historic day for Minnesota and for cannabis enthusiasts across the state. After years of campaigning, lobbying, and voting, the legalization of recreational cannabis has finally taken effect. This means that adults 21 and older can now legally possess, consume, and grow small amounts of cannabis for personal use. It also means that licensed retailers can now sell cannabis products to customers who meet the age requirement and follow the regulations.

This is a huge victory for civil liberties, social justice, and public health. Legalizing cannabis will reduce the harms of prohibition, such as mass incarceration, racial disparities, and black market violence. And just like with tobacco, let’s not be assholes and light up where smoking isn’t welcome.
