Re-Release: Love at Second Sight

What if you could know what someone else is thinking? Would you tell them? What if you could hear the private thoughts they never speak aloud? Would you pretend not to? What if you could know their wildest dreams, their worst nightmares, and their deepest, darkest secrets? Would you want to? What if you could learn everything about someone just by looking into their eyes? Would you dare? What if you could feel their pain—whether you wanted to or not? All of these questions are explored in Love at Second Sight, the debut M/M romance by Matt Butts, re-released this month in an updated second edition. Mostly the changes are cosmetic, updating the layout to conform to new specifications since incorporating hardcover editions so that the interiors are identical between both editions.

Love at Second Sight tells the story of Adam, an abandoned orphan who possesses a gift — and burden — of extraordinary abilities, which can be deadly if not used accordingly. If the public knew of Adam’s power, they would be afraid of him. Some might think to take advantage of it, while others would look to destroy him. If he wants to stay alive, Adam must keep his secret hidden — even from his closest confidants.

June 2015: After the Supreme Court declares marriage to be legal for all couples in every state, just in time for Pride Weekend, there’s a huge celebration. But not everyone was happy about it; an upstate backwoods church congregation is so angry that they take matters into their own hands, killing Adam's friend while he watches helplessly then beating him within inches of his life.

Adam isn't afraid to use his unique abilities to seek revenge on those who harmed him... and realize that the police sergeant assigned to investigate his case was in love with him! Sergeant Steve Kensley is like a prince from a fairytale and Adam couldn't help but want him. Adam must take a leap of faith and trust Steve with the truth he has never spoken…

Love at Second Sight is available on Amazon in Hardcover, Paperback, and Kindle™ Edition.
